Rail Power Solutions provided the design for the renewal of 5No. Transformer Rectifiers for BCM on behalf 0f  Network Rail at Penge (x3), Teynham and Tonbridge Substations.

 

The scope of work included –

 

• Design of interface between the new TRU and the existing NR infrastructure, including integration with the existing SCADA RTU, HV and DC switchgear;

• Design of new DC switchgear at Penge;

• Interfacing with MITS and two separate ECRS, SACDA – GEC electromechanical and FastFlex at Penge;

• ETE negative bonding designs;

• Design of new Main DC circuit breaker complete with Frame Leakage detection;

• Rectifier protection calculations.
