Rail Power Solutions provided the design for the renewal of 2No. DC TP Huts for SRS on behalf of Docklands Light Railway at Bank and Becton.

The scope of work included –

​

• Specification for supply of 2No. fully fitted DC modules complete with DC switchgear, Directional over current, Instantaneous overcurrent and Di/Dt protection, Frame leakage protection, Battery Charger, Marshalling Cabinet and domestic services;

• Design of interface between the new DC modules and the existing DLR infrastructure, including integration with the existing SCADA RTU, Inter-tripping with adjacent substations and with Tunnel Trip protection system;

• Development of new electronic Track Voltage Monitor Panels to provide real-time monitoring of running rail to earth potential with provision of SCADA alarms in accordance with EN50122 voltage limits;

• Provision of a 750V DC protection study for track feed circuit breaker settings at Bank TPH, Royal Mint Street, Limehouse, Custom House, Beckton and Beckton Remote Substations;

• Supervision of Factory Acceptance testing of DC modules, switchgear and track voltage monitor panels, inclusive of liaising with equipment suppliers.
